The Roberts Lab started in 2023 at the University of Wyoming and our team has grown into a number of seasoned and budding neuroscientists that make the lab run! Below is a list of past, present, and future members of the Roberts Lab.
Brandon Roberts, Ph.D.
Principle Investigator
My research focuses on the interesection of neuroscience, circadian biology, and how the pre- and postnatal environment impacts neurodevelopment. More specifically, my lab focuses on how light disruption and overnutrition impacts neural pathways involved with metabolic and cognitive function.
Whitney Walker, M.S.
Laboratory Manager
Whitney has her Bachelor’s degree in biological chemistry and a Master’s in zoology & physiology. She was born and raised in Western Alaska, and has worked with biology since her high school years. She has worked on research projects ranging from soil bacteria & fungi, developmental pathways for mesoderm, T-cell modification for cancer therapy, to spinal cord injury repair in zebrafish. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her 3 dogs, being outdoors, and photography.
Haifa (Hayfa) Chargui
Masters Student
My name is Haifa Chargui, I earned my BS degree in Cellular & Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University Of Tunis El Manar. Currently, I am pursuing an MS degree with Dr. Roberts’s lab group. My interests include overlaps between neuroscience, reproductive, and computational biology. My research project targets the environmental maternal changes such as nutritional, circadian state, and how they impact neural function at the circuit level in offspring. During my free time, I like painting, biking, and watching movies.
